External nasal splints of aluminium or thermoplastic belong to the basic equipment found in ENT-Surgery, Casualty and Accident and Emergency Units.

The material properties offer the user and the patients many advantages over standard plaster of paris bandaging.

They can be applied quickly and efficiently, offer stable protection and are optically much less conspicuous.

Aluminium

Aluminium external nasal splints offer the quickest practical solution for the setting of a nose. The
time required is a fraction of that necessary for the plaster of paris counterpart.
Our aluminium splints also provide you with the following bonuses; easily malleable whilst very
stable, sufficiently but not extremely padded, self adhesive backs, all to a very attractive price.

Thermoplastic

Here, thermoplastic is used to describe a substance that changes its consistency and stability under temperature influence. The material should be heated in a water bath.
The material changes colour from white to transparent and becomes malleable under the influence of warmth. The process is reversed by cooling i.e. the product sets in the modelled shape.
A very individual fitting to the patients anatomy is made possible by using such material for an external nasal splint.
